We are the
Permian Basin football chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials out
of West Texas .
In
conjunction with UIL and TASO, our members officiate football, at all levels,
in and around the areas of Midland and Odessa.

The Permian
Basin Chapter is for anyone wishing to officiate football in West Texas. The
leadership of the chapter will help any young trainee reach his potential and
become a skilled official. There is plenty of opportunity for a young official
to gain his certification and have on the field training before the season
starts.

What is a Referee or Official?
A referee is the person of authority in a variety of sports who is responsible for presiding
over the game from a neutral point of view and making on-the-fly decisions that
enforce the rules of the
sport, including sportsmanship
decisions such as ejection.
